1
Copy the video URL
Open TikTok, find the video you want, then copy its URL from the address bar or the Share menu.
-
2
Paste it into TikDown
Head back to TikDown and paste the URL into the input field. On mobile, just tap the clipboard icon to paste it for you.
-
3
Pick a quality and download
Choose the format and resolution you want — HD MP4, MP3, or M4A. Your file starts downloading the moment it's ready.
Frequently asked questions
Is TikDown really free?
Yes, completely. No fees, no signups, no download limits. TikDown is supported by a single ad slot below the fold — that's our only revenue stream.
Do I need to install anything?
Nope. TikDown runs right in your browser — no app, no extension, no software to set up.
What qualities can I download?
Up to 1080p HD MP4 for video, plus 128 kbps MP3 and M4A for audio. Lower tiers are always there too if you're on a slow connection.
Does TikDown store my downloads?
Not at all. Files stream straight from our processing servers to your device — nothing sticks around on our end. We don't track download history, either.
Why does a download sometimes fail?
Usually the processing token has expired. Refresh the page, paste the URL again, and you should be set. If it still doesn't work, try again in a few minutes.
Can I download private or age-restricted videos?
No — TikDown only works with publicly accessible TikTok videos. Private, deleted, age-restricted, or region-locked videos won't process.
Which browsers and devices work with TikDown?
Any modern browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge — on Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows, Mac, or Linux.
